A black cat saves you money?

Although we think that there are many reasons why owning a black cat is super cool, now there's even a financial benefit to owning one. 

Did you know that by adopting a lovable black kitty, you could be saving money at the Vet?  That's right, it's TRUE!

A recent press release by Petplan states that black cats are less likely to be injured than other colors of cats.  Check it out: 

Among the cat population, black cats are the least accident-prone, resulting in the lowest number of pet insurance claims....Based on [their] claims, black cats are 15% less likely to be victims of an accident or injury compared to their colorful kitty counterparts.

Wow.  Our Black Cat Cards were right...they are TOTALLY ninjas!

We always like to hear that other people think black cats are super awesome.  But now maybe this will help give a big push for people to adopt black kitties so they aren't just another sad statistic.

We hope Petplan is offering special discounts on coverage for black cats.  I mean, that sounds like a great October promotion to us, Mr. Big Time Insurance Company.
