So you want one of our little fuzzy buggers, eh? They are so awesome and lovey and we're glad you're interested in giving one of them a forever home. Email us and we'll get you started with our questionnaire!
Have you ever had a kitty before? Do you know what kind of kitty you'd like to adopt? Do you have other furry family members? What is your living situation like? How many people are in your household? How often are you home?
These are just some of the questions we'll ask you in order to make sure you're getting the right kitty for you, and that the kitty is getting it's best human owner possible. We will not let any family adopt a kitty we feel would be a bad fit.
In fact, read this: "Adoption questions to ask yourself"
Also, you will naturally have questions for us and we are more than happy to answer them. We hope that you've read all the posts associated with the kitty you're interested in because that should answer most questions you have about personality and health of the kitty.
We do charge an adoption fee. It varies based upon which animal you're interested in and how far along they are in the Mew Crew's Medical Certification Course. We use low cost shot clinics and low cost spay/neuter services, so the adoption fee is also low and reasonable. You will get a copy of all these forms for your records. It will also tell you what proceedures you will still have to complete on your own or when it'll be time to get their annual vaccinations.
If you are in the Mid-Atlantic, chances are we have a foster who is near you. So just email us and we will see what we can do. If we can't set you up with one of our kitties, there are plenty of perfectly loveable kitties in kill shelters in your area who are dying to find a new home. In fact, two million cats are euthanized each year. If you're interested to read more about animal over population, shelters and becoming a foster, just read our page on fostering.
Anyways, let's get talking about adopting a mew! Don't forget to read our FAQ if you haven't already.
