Normally I'd be going to bed at 5 am, but in this scenario I was already awake and driving home. When you do kitty rescue or foster work, there's always a ton of things that you have to deal with that you might never have learned about otherwise. These tasks can be stinky, smelly, perplexing and heart-breaking. Definitely not glorious, by any means.
And then of course a lot of times you are carting around sad littles faces, which also pull at the heart strings.
