You can read more on the ASPCA's Meet Your Match Feline-alities on their website. I think from now on I might start ranking all of our guys based upon this system. Cyrano, for example, would be an Executive.
The idea behind this campaign is to make sure that an animal goes home with the right type of owner whose personality fits theirs. This is supposed to help cut down on returns and provide for a happier connection.
Often times when people get a cat, they blurt out "I want an orange kitty! Only an orange kitty will do!" but really have NO clue about what type of personality they want. Or that cats even do more than sleep when they get older. In fact, I think they think they believe are only two speeds of cat--a kitten and a sleeper. I have rarely seen a kitten who has stayed exactly that way and an adult (unless they're left alone a lot) who is happy just sleeping on a chair with no human interaction.
I have also seen have seen more people pass over a cat simply due to its color. I mean, yeah they pass over the black ones, but people will also overlook a gray stripey kitty because it's not "solid gray". We don't mind that you may be a sucker for an orange cat (and we do want you to be hooked on your new family member), but we might have a suggestion for you that isn't in your color group.
So do we have the cat for you? Of course we do.
But you'll also need to keep an open mind about type and also color.
We'll ask you all sorts of questions about what type of person you are, what your schedule is like, what your home is like and how does your household functions. We'll then make a suggestion for you based upon what we think is a good fit.
So go ahead and send us an email at mewcrew [ at ] gmail [ dot ] com and let us suggest a mew for you.

She says "Look how pretty I pose for you!"
He says: "I'll never give in to...YOU!"
